GUIDE ON WHAT TO DO IN ROME
The best aperitivi in Rome
– Trastevere: This neighborhood is famous for its lively atmosphere and for the many bars that offer great aperitivi.
Many places in the area offer drinks at affordable prices and maybe some snacks.
With a bike or scooter it is easy to move from one bar to another and discover new places.
– Monti: Another neighborhood ideal for a good aperitivo.
The area is full of trendy venues, but there are also cheaper bars where one can enjoy a drink without spending too much.
Moreover, Monti is close to the Colosseum, so the young people can take a walk and see one of the most iconic monuments of Rome.
– Piazza Trilussa: the square of the young people, where one can have fun sitting in the open air in the middle of the night tasting delicious drinks from the venues that surround it.
Tour discovering the street art
– Ostiense and Pigneto: These neighborhoods are known for their walls decorated by works of street art.
A nice ride by bike or scooter among the murals can be a fun and interesting experience.
Moreover, there are bars and venues where to stop for a beer at the end of the tour.
– Testaccio: Another interesting neighborhood for the street art, but also rich of cheap restaurants and breweries where to stop to eat something.

– Testaccio Market: A market that offers many typical Roman dishes.
Here the young people can taste one of the most characteristic foods of the city without spending too much, like supplì, pizza by the slice and sandwiches with porchetta.
– Piazza Vittorio: The area is also great to find a variety of ethnic restaurants at good prices, ranging from kebab to Asian cuisine, perfect for a quick and cheap lunch.
– Pigneto: The neighborhood gives the possibility to taste different ethnic cuisines, like for example the famous Kalapà (look at the page on Instagram)
Visit monuments and historical sites (for free)
– Roman Forum and Colosseum (outside): Even if the entrance is for a fee, the Colosseum and the Roman Forum are two of the most iconic places of the city and can be visited for free from the outside.
It is a walk that can be easily done by scooter.
– Pantheon and Piazza Navona: Both these squares are free to visit and are located in the heart of Rome.
They offer a lively atmosphere, with many bars where the young people can stop to drink something.
Parties and events in spring
– Events in Piazza del Popolo: During spring there are often free or low-cost events in this central area, that can vary from concerts to outdoor shows.
– Campo de’ Fiori and Piazza Navona: These places are particularly lively in the evening, and even if the food and drinks in restaurants can be a bit more expensive, there are always cheap options for a drink.
– Testaccio and San Lorenzo: These neighborhoods are very popular among local young people, and there are always venues where to listen to music, drink and make new acquaintances.

-Catacombs of San Callisto: Although they are not free, the catacombs offer an interesting visit to underground Rome at a relatively low price, and it is a great opportunity to explore a historical aspect of the city.
